LISA, AGED 12YRS 10 MTHS. 13mm OVERJET. 3 Specialist orthodontists recommended 8 teeth extracted and lower jaw surgery.

LISA, AGED 14 YRS 4 MTHS. 1mm OVERJET. No extractions, no braces and no surgery. Lisa was treated with orthopaedic appliances to make her upper jaw wider, her lower jaw bigger and then her lower jaw brought forward. Her lower jaw grew almost 13mm longer and 10mm wider in just 24months.

BIANCA Aged 8 yrs 0 mths. Her mother was advised by 2 specialists that Bianca’s lower jaw was too big and that nothing could be done until she was old enough for lower jaw surgery. The specialists advised she have 4 baby teeth removed and then wait.

Note the improved appearance of the profile of the face after the upper jaw was enlarged and brought forward. The upper front teeth and jaw bone provide support for the upper lip. The changes are noticeable and stable. It took only 3 months to make room for the overdue adult front teeth. Correction of problems like this should be addressed as early as possible. Imagine what the teeth and face might look like if her parents waited until she became a teenager before treating her with conventional orthodontics.

ANTHEA AGED 16 yrs 10 mths she had crooked teeth and migraine headaches every day.  4 separate specialists advised extractions and braces for 2 to 3 years and all said that the headaches were nothing to do with her teeth.
